Investment Analyst (Junior Level)

About the Role

AAA Financiers supports entrepreneurs and investors across Rwanda and Africa by mobilizing capital and providing investment readiness support, offering investment analysis, business valuation, M&A, and advisory services. This junior-level role sits within the advisory team, working directly on research, financial modeling, and analysis for business valuations, M&A transactions, and investment engagements across Rwanda and the wider African market.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investment research and market/industry analysis for advisory and deal engagements
  • Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions
  • Support business valuation assignments across various sectors
  • Assist in M&A engagements, including due diligence, structuring, and documentation
  • Analyze financial statements, market data, and industry trends
  • Prepare investment memos, pitch materials, presentations, and reports
  • Support capital raising and investment readiness initiatives
  • Track macroeconomic, regulatory, and market developments relevant to Rwanda and Africa
  • Facilitate investment processes by coordinating with clients, investors, and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate research records and data sources
  • Collaborate with legal, accounting, and CFO service teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, M&A, valuation, or advisory
  • Professional certification (CFA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) required or preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; familiarity with Power BI, Bloomberg, or Capital IQ preferred
  • Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, with financial modeling experience
  • Understanding of investment processes, deal facilitation, and transaction lifecycles
  • Strong research and synthesis capabilities for financial and market data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, analytical rigor, and sound business judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
  • Professional integrity and a client-service orientation
